the catskills
Last year I wrote down a list of things I wanted to do in order to be happy. At that time, I was home in Illinois, desperately craving adventure, and missing my friends quite a lot. The list included things such as taking long drives, listening to good music with my best friend, seeing beautiful parts of the world, laying in hammocks, being at peace in nature, and loving someone who takes my breath away.
Leah and I ventured back up to The Catskills last week. I didn't realize it until we were already there, but almost all of those things were accomplished on this road trip. It's amazing where a year can take you, and where your life will continue to take you.
This road trip was such a beautiful way to end the school year, and we got to explore so many different towns along the journey! It was one of the best trips I've ever taken, thanks to Leah, who not only made sure we took the most scenic routes, but also took on the adventure of driving us in and out of New York City.

Thank you for creating some of my favorite memories, Leah. I can't wait for our next adventure.
all my love,
Mar
