I took a train to Oxford this weekend to do some solo exploring! My camera and I roamed the colorful streets, and I gave myself a real challenge to shoot some self-portraits in the middle of town. Shooting self portraits is how I got started with photography in the first place, so to venture to an unfamiliar place, with no one but my camera by my side, really gave a new meaning to these photos.

Shots like this take a bit of patience, and planning, but those are two things I want to improve upon.
I'm grateful for this peaceful day, with rad colorful houses, a

café full of old bicycles, delicious banana bread, and a good sense of independence.
