coffee and femininity

jenna8.jpg
I visited Sam for a day, and we managed to stay warm and cozy in the midst of the freezing Chicago temperatures. From seeing the snow fall outside the cafe window as we sipped the best lattes Ive ever experienced, to taking photos of anything and everything our collaborate minds could think of.

We explored femininity and masculinity with these studio-like shots, and I realized how much I like the complexity of it all. One day I want to look like a fairy princess, and the next I could feel like a queen in a suit in tie. It just feels so powerful, all the ins and outs of gender expression.

It's really wonderful to be able to collaborate with such a close friend, and always make art that we're proud of whenever we're together.

lovely to see you, Sam!
