quaint as heck

Last weekend I ventured upstate with my lovely photography friends, Jess and Sam, to visit Jess' hometown. We escaped Manhattan with backpacks, cameras, 3 train tickets, and Jess' rabbit, Roosevelt.

I think living in New York City requires some amount of balance between being in the urban rush, and in nature. The balance is different for everyone, but I know for myself, I'd go nuts if I couldn't be in nature every so often. Riding shotgun in Jess' car (my New York friends can drive? What a thought!), seeing her quaint as heck hometown of Cross River, breathing in some fresh air, and petting a dog, were all SO appreciated.

Very thankful for the Stewart family's generosity, and for having a girl's night with my city girls, NOT in the city.

much love, Marilyn
