the mockingjay lives

I've had the overwhelmingly awesome opportunity to be at San Diego Comic Con these past few days, and my absolute favorite event has been the Mockingjay festivities at the Samsung Galaxy experience.

To say I was impressed would be an understatement. We stood outside waiting for over an hour, not knowing what would be behind the doors. I only knew I was getting a free Mockingjay pin, so that was good enough reason for me ;)

Beyond the doorway led to a miniature version of the Capitol itself. Peacekeepers, white glass chandeliers, Capitol citizens, and so much more. I was in heaven. 

I went two days in a row (so worth all the waiting) and on Friday we were escorted up to a lounge where we sat in futuristic pod chairs and watched the very first Mockingjay trailer. It was incredible.
