Leah's 22nd birthday

Leah's birthday falls around the time of year when everyone is busy either studying for final exams, or preparing for the holidays. I wanted to make sure she got the celebration she deserved, so with the help of about 25 of her loved ones, we threw her a surprise party! It could not have gone better. I've been paying attention to love languages ever since I learned of their existence, but paid close attention when it came to celebrating Leah's birthday. She loves quality time, so I was thrilled at the opportunity to gather all the people in her life together in one room for some valuable, loving quality time.

The fact that Leah was really, truly surprised, and really, truly happy was so rewarding. I know it isn't my birthday, but seeing my number one girl so happy and loved was a pretty amazing gift. It's the end of the semester, and it's been a wild ride from start to finish. I wasn't sure what December would look like, and I'm beyond grateful it looks like this. Happy birthday, my love. Here is to being 22.
