camping in the catskills

Leah and I took a trip up to our beloved Catskills at the end of August to soak up the last bits of summer. These trips upstate have become a sort of tradition for the two of us, and I was particularly stoked this time around because it was the first time I'd gone camping in years, and the first time Leah and I camped together! The thing about traditions is that although it's the same place, each trip comes new experiences, and newer versions of us to match. Because we've done this trip twice before, I can see how clearly we've grown and changed. We set up for the night at one of our favorite spots, North-South Lake, and spent a large portion of our time taking scenic drives through the forested roads.

Going on drives is honestly one of our favorite things to do up here because it's something we never get the chance to do in New York City, and we both love being in the car so much. Happy I get to share the car rides with my best friend.
